One of the reasons we at Alive PFC want to do a magazine that emphasizes street practical martial arts is because of statistics like these. You hear of the people who say, “That’ll never be me.” and eventually they wind up saying “How could this happen to me?” We aren’t like other magazines like Black Belt or UFC or any other MMA styled publication. The MMA is in a controlled environment with rules as a safeguard and with that certain tactics are banned.

But in the street, in real life, there are no rules, there are no boundaries, and there is no referee to pull a guy off of you if he’s trying to rape you. These facts are chilling. They are even more chilling when you factor that 1 in every 4 people in the world know some form of martial arts. You say “I better buy a gun.” I tell you that there’s a 50% chance that you will be shot by it. People who buy a gun out of fear will not know what to do with it when they are in a situation like that.

We at Alive PFC seek to make those statistics drop. Just like those who teach gun control and responsibility and defense. We seek to do the same with martial arts. There is a way to be responsible with martial arts and there is a way to defend yourself should you find yourself in the position that 23% of women have fallen victim to.

There is an article that is featured in our first issue which is projected to print in September called ‘Women’s Self Defense, Myth vs. Reality” that addresses this issue directly. I strongly suggest you purchase the magazine and equip yourself for these moments. Because you never know if you’re in that 23 percent.

Until next time,

Timmy

We have been crazy busy lately around here. But the good news is it’s that kind of busy where you actually get things done versus running around like a chicken with your head cut off. Jordan has been bustin a– getting the magazine ready for first print. We have a sample mini ready to show you all and it should be up any day now.

As far as I’ve been, I’ve been running crazy myself making calls, deals, and telling people about the magazine and seminar. Which reminds me… The seminar is fast approaching us! Sign up today! For those whose excuse is they can’t afford it I reply, “You can’t afford not to!  Where else will you find this training and be able to kick tail like a SEAL and on top of that teach this stuff?” I know… NOWHERE!

For those who think that the Navy SEALS are nothing to be messed with, now you have the chance to learn the hand to hand and tactical edged weapons curriculum from the guys who teach the SEALS in boot! Progressive Fighting Systems has the exclusive government contract to train every single government agency hand to hand combat and tactical edged weapons.  So for Pete’s (and mine and yours) sake, SIGN UP TODAY! This is too big to pass up!

On another note, contact information has been updated.

Until next time…

In this corner weighing in at 180 pounds standing about 5′9 we have the invincible, unstoppable, and undeniably sexy Jordan Moore! Men want to be him! Women want to be with him! He can design a magazine like no other!

Sorry Jordan, we have no cake, entrance music, or pyrotechnics to properly describe our excitement at you coming on staff. Andrew won’t let me play with matches.

And to quote Humphrey Bogart from the classic movie Casablanca, “This could be the start of a beautiful friendship”

Breaking down the door… and making myself at home

Allow me to bust open the doors at Alive PFC and welcome myself to the staff. My name is Timothy Brownlee and I am the new Public Relations Director for Alive PFC.. in other words I happened to be friends with the crazy idiot who’s the head of this thing. (These are the jokes folks feel free to laugh anytime)

But in all seriousness I am excited to be a part of this growing magazine and look forward to our first printing which should be out in July 2009.

My responsibilities will include eventual website updates (when i get more training), the fan page on Facebook, promoting seminars and the magazine itself, and any other public related thing except the Twitter feed and anything else Andrew sees fit for me to do around here.

I will also be training under Andrew which I have not done in a long time. So my cries of anguish will be of one of two varieties. Cries of pain or cries of frustration. But that’s beside the point.

A few things about myself. I am an Intercessory Missionary at the House of Prayer Hattiesburg Missions Base. I play guitar and bass. I do not like horseback riding and moonlit walks on the beach. Horses scare me and I hate the way sand gets between your toes. I do, however, enjoy music of all sorts. I also have this particular gift that allows me to talk to anybody I meet without feeling nervous at all. So feel free to come and talk to me at anytime.

But that’s all I have to say about myself. Glad to be here and look forward to writing more of these in the days to come.

Blessings!

Well it has been a while since the last blog update on here. I apologize. What has been going on with us? Well we have been busy! We are working closely with Carlos Machado and he is almost done with his article and he is buying ad space. We got Burton Richardson’s article. We got a new minion…uh I mean employee. His name is Tim Brownlee. He will be maintaining the facebook group and constantly updating the site here. He also is the one to contact for seminar dates, expos, and basically any event we do or that you want to schedule. He will be adding a blog in the next day or so introducing himself.

We are now finalizing the magazine layout for three issues. That is harder than I thought! We are almost done and everyone will receive the first issue soon. Thanks to all who subscribed and if you have not then subscribe today.

I am off to work
